page last updated: February 09 2008.
Welcome to the software page. This will give you access to the software X-Sight has created. Some of it isn't very useful, some is, some are just pure crap, fiddle-de-dee, gobble-de-gook, fiddlesticks, tatty, tattered, scruffy, worthless, useless and any other nasty word you can think of. just depends on the person downloading it, or viewing it, and the situation.
This page has been updated, like most other pages. As you can see, most of X-Sight's software has disappeared. This is the software that was created in AutoIt a long time ago, and that I am recreating in vb. All software on this page right now is either in autoit getting ready to be converted, or already in vb. As Autoit programs can be hacked, I've taken down all the ones that I don't want people to have the source code for until I can make it more closed source than it is right now.
x-sighting Software
The X-Sight Timer is being implemented into our latest software title, Talking Timepiece, so is no longer available for download. It had major bugs and issues with it anyway.
BMR Braille, started in January 2006, was created by damien of X-Sight Interactive, and Ben Mustill-Rose, who has also helped. This is currently being converted to vb6, so is not available for download yet.
Day Calculator
This little calculator can calculate the names of days for certain dates. Good for finding out what day you were born on.
Please note: with this program, UK or US resident, please use UK format lol. I had a bug report that it wouldn't work with US date format, so please use DD/MM/YYYY for calculations.
Dectalk Scripter 5 is soon to be released. 4.3 is no longer available. Some of Dectalk Scripter's bugs will now be resolved, the syntax checker has been rewritten for a start, as has the check for updates feature. The beepback mode has been removed, the closing won't be reoccurring, and hotkeys will only work within the program now.
Music Machine and Music Arcade are also not available for download. What's more, this software has now stopped development, as some computers don't have a PC speaker, so would be of no use. My computer is one of them, so I wouldn't be able to test it anyway.
Notepad Autosaver
This handy small utility allows a notepad user (programmers, dectalk scripters, and examination candidates) to have a similar autosaving utility similar to that in MS Word in Notepad. This was originally made for one Carl Fowler who formerly worked at the RNIB New College in Worcester. Thanks Carl for that idea, and it was a pleasure writing it.
Phonebook 2.0 is being completely rewritten and integrated into our Desktop PDA software, as is the planner. However please be patient, as phonebooks below 2 are no longer available.
Prime Number Generator
Ever wanted to trick your maths teachers with something like this? There you go then, click above. Source code retrieved and is now written in vb. Now you can specify how many numbers to check.
DCS Random Sound scheme for Windows
A little sound scheme I wrote for Windows XP. Probably will not work with win98, as it contains a different registry. This is obviously not a piece of software, but it is in an installer, so thought I'd include it. How weird am I lol
user status - windows nt/xp admin checker
checks to see if logged in user is admin or not. useful for people like me who are in college/university environments where technicians seem to just love restricting!
Quickend is also being rewritten, and is not available at present.
this small but useful utility is for people who are constantly getting "this program is not responding", "this program has encountered a problem and needs to close", "this program cannot be closed down" and other such junk at shutdown. a simple hotkey to launch and a simple hotkey to do what you wanna do. doesn't even require a screenreader, unless of course, the shortcut doesn't work. lol but i know it does unless you delete it lol.
Talking Timepiece 1.0 - informational page only.
This program is, erm, well, read the information page and find out.
Other projects on the work include:

Abandoned software I'm working on includes software from Samuel Proulx.
Open source projects I'm currently involved in include:
- Code Librarian
- John Greer's screenreader
Custom Software
We are now offering custom software development. This could be a tweak that you may want for special needs or incompatibility issues, or perhaps you're thinking of a completely new piece of software.
We could also create libraries for development purposes, however we are very limited in this area at the moment, as we can only provide modules for VB6.
Please contact us on the About page through the sales department so we can come to an arrangement.
